These are a few of the communications I have been hearing, and dealing with as an examiner, from instructors, applicants, and even controllers. Let’s remember that we work in a professional environment. The way we dress, act, and even speak, must be done in a manner that is representative of someone that is in a position of authority. Yes, even as a flight instructor, you are looked at by your students as a teacher, and giving your student the proper guidance, even the way you speak on the radios, must be done in a professional manner.
Let’s start working on using proper terminology now, so when you get to your professional airline position, your captain doesn’t have to correct you over and over.
